Duties/Responsibilities


Duties/Responsibilities

  • Serve as key assistant to the Director of the Fanning Institute in the conduct of all Institute activities.
  • Serve as liaison with other PSO and University departments and units and contact between the Institute and the public.
  • Maintain and coordinate the Director's electronic calendar and daily schedule.
  • Prepare and compose correspondence and perform all administrative duties
  • Coordinate/manage logistics of projects/initiatives on behalf of the Director.
  • Develop travel arrangements, schedule, arrange, and coordinate meetings, receptions, and lectures, arrange for catering, assist in the preparation of agenda: gather/compile information, contact participants, and provide administrative/technical support at meetings as needed.
  • Compile and prepare the Institute's Points of Pride and quarterly report.

  • Manage and coordinate support staff by constantly reviewing and adjusting program/project workloads, conducting training sessions, and gathering ideas/recommendations to better the program support offered by staff.
  • Make recommendations to the Director of the Institute regarding issues related to the Institute with recommendations to better program support for clients and faculty by the program coordinators.

  • Create processes by which faculty can have long-term project goals met.
  • Make recommendations on the number of student workers needed. Make raise recommendations.
  • Hire new student workers when needed.
