Job Summary:

The Clinical Program Director is responsible for managing community-based programs with a clinical component. The programs provide prevention and intervention services to at risk and system involved youth and families. The Clinical Program Director is responsible for the managerial, operational, and administrative duties as stated in the scope of work. The Clinical Program Director also provides direct care and clinical services. This position is responsible for leading the team which will meet all contractual and performance obligations.



Essential Functions:

    Ensures that the program is operational and on target with the program
  • Provide regular supervision to all program staff.
  • Ensures individualized planning, effective service coordination and management of care for all youth in program Ensures that services are provided in accordance with funding guidelines and scope and are based on the specific needs of children.
  • Guides staff to develop a person and family centered individualized plan of care that specifies the goals and actions to address the medical, social, educational, and other needs for the youth and family.
  • Ensures services are strength based, culturally and linguistically competent.
  • Provides leadership in establishing a cohesive multi-systemic alliance among community stakeholders to assure that staffing, and interagency processes are working effectively and efficiently.
  • Engages in regular outreach with agency partners to include the county probation, placement providers, universities, community partners, schools, and business partners.
  • Runs internal reports to ensure compliance of program requirements including service delivery and timely and accurate documentation.
  • Participates in required training and ensures that all staff are properly trained.
  • Manages budgets and follows all financial regulations according to federal requirements.
  • Ensures program staff follow all applicable rules, regulations set for the by the funder and all other licensing or governing bodies.


Other Functions:

  • Maintain open and consistent communication with Regional Executive Director.
  • Maintain all required licensing, trainings, and certifications per state board licensing requirements.
  • Travel as needed for trainings, meetings and conferences.
  • Initiate and maintain effective communication with all program staff members, supervisors, and funding partners.
  • Able to react to change productively and manage other essential tasks as assigned.
  • Able to work weekends and evenings as required and/or needed.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Be in good standing with their respective licensing board.
  • Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Master's Degree with a specialization in:
  • Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related fields is required
  • Licensed or licensed eligible in respective field (to include, but no limited to: LPC, LPC-Intern, LCSW, LMFT, LMSW, LMHC)
  • Supervisory experience in a social service field.
  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver's license, registration and maintain state mandates car insurance.
  • Computer literate with functional knowledge of Microsoft Windows (Microsoft Word, Excel), variety of online database systems.
  • Possess excellent verbal and writing skills.
  • Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Clear background check from appropriate entities.


Physical Demands:

Must be able to obtain First Aid Certification (CPR). Must be able to spend time driving, sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time. Daily use of various office equipment. Bending, stooping, climbing up stairs and lifting up to 15 lbs. required to complete daily tasks.



Work Environment:

This is a program which requires daily contact at various locations and inside correctional facilities. Work shifts are subject to change and will be expected to work some evenings and weekends. Noise levels vary from mild to moderate. This position may require extended periods of time in an automobile. Exposed to prevalent weather conditions.
