Job Description:


Summary

Performs coordination and communication duties associated with the timely and accurate booking/pickup/delivery of loads scheduled for the operation. Responsible for processing logistics orders, executing system tasks and reports, and monitoring loads in transit.

Essential Functions

This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

* Tracks loads from pick up to delivery with carriers via phone, e-mail, EDI and internet.

* Manage OTM and SAP Flow team transactions ensuring accurate reconciliation between the two systems Communicates information for dispatch and performs routine to complex dispatch functions.

* Works with freight forwarders and customs brokers.

* Handles issues and problems related to the movement of customer's products by interfacing with internal and external parties to ensure timeliness of service.

* Enters booking and load information into WMS, TMS, and release loads.

* Coordinates rail shipments and other unique/complex movements.

* Monitors and maintains reports of rail car and warehouse sensors deployed throughout RDC network.

* Ensures proper documentation related to shipments is obtained and maintained.

* Utilize OTM system to prepare and deploy daily rail schedule for outbound freight.

* Follows through on internal and external customer issues to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.

* Communicates with customer, carriers and internal staff in a timely, effective and professional manner.

* Responds to inquiries from a variety of sources including carriers (warehouse directions, load info, etc.), customers, and team members.

* Participates in auditing freight billing and load information.

* Tracks, verifies, and reports on status of international logistics and transportation events in a timely manner.

* Performs manual uploads in OTM for international inbound rail shipments.

* Files documentation related to shipments in a timely manner.

* Participates in ad hoc research and analysis with managers.

* Identifies process improvement opportunities.

* Develops standard operating procedures for their desk and trains others on those procedures.

* Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.

* Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory consideration.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

* High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of experience in transportation, truck dispatching, or customer service.

* Skilled in MS Excel, Outlook, Access, Word and PowerPoint at a Basic level.

* Work overtime and weekend shifts when required.

* Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

* Skilled in writing simple correspondence.

* Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree.

* Working knowledge of SAP, TMS, WMS, system.

* Deals with issues in a calm and methodical manner.

* Deals with issues with high level of urgency.

* Uses discretion required in dealing with confidential information.

* Good origination skills.

* Experience effectively working against defined goals in a fast paced environment.

* Experience critically assessing situation, solving problems, and working effectively under stress.

* Experience with multitasking and time management.

* Experience with heavy phone usage.

* Experience in transportation and numerical analysis

Compensation



  1. Hiring Hourly Rate: $21.92 - $25.77.
  2. Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
