Position Description:
Ryerson has an opportunity for a Senior EC Payroll Solution Manager. This position will have the primary responsibility of managing multi-frequency payrolls for approximately 4,000 employees. This person will critically review and analyze current payroll procedures in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practice operations. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and requirements. This person will work closely with Human Resources, Benefits, IT, and Compensation teams.

Roles and Responsilbities * Oversee running payroll activities (pre- and post-payroll). * Guide team through reconciling payroll outputs, ensuring data integrity and accurate payments. * Act as an expert resource for troubleshooting payroll errors, handling correction scenarios promptly (off-cycle payroll, recalculation, etc.), and resolving payroll data discrepancies. * Oversee providing payroll reports for auditors, finance, and management teams. * Ensure maintenance of payroll policies, process documentation, and procedures. * Participate in new payroll system rollouts, upgrades, or enhancements. * Mentor, guide, and train other team members, providing technical expertise and support * All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
Position Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is advantageous * 10 plus years of functional experience with EC Payroll * Strong understanding of various benefits, benefits plans and experience with integrations with various benefits vendors e.g. 401K, Deferred Comp, H&W, Union PHW. * Proficiency in SAP EC Payroll (Not SAP HR Payroll) configuration and customization. * Strong understanding of payroll processes and regulations * AP Certified Application Associate - SAP SuccessFactors for Employee Central Payroll * Must be capable of multi-tasking and working independently as well as in a team environment. * Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality in all matters related to employee compensation and benefits.
