POSITION TITLE: Design Engineer Facilities CLASSIFICATION: Exempt POSITION OVERVIEW: ADB is a Nationwide full turnkey provider of technology infrastructure solutions including Wireline, Wireless, Technology, and Engineering. ADB is seeking a Design Engineer, Facilities to design Information and Communications Technology (ICT) infrastructure to support all aspects of infrastructure deployments. The design aspects include equipment enclosures, low-voltage cable pathway, firestopping, grounding/bonding, Inside Plant (ISP) fiber optic and copper cabling, -48V DC power systems, and Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS). This position supports the Solution Architects and project managers in both pre-sales and post award activities and is key in delivering quality solutions and customer delight. The ideal candidate will have extensive ISP technical experience, a strong belief in the safety and well-being of team members, as well as a strong work ethic and ALL IN attitude to achieve results. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviewing and understanding complex project solicitations
- Work with manufacturer sales teams to get pricing exceptions in place and work with distribution on quotes
- Development of drawing package, list of material (LOM), method of procedure (MOP), system acceptance test (SAT) plan, scope of work (SOW) and any other specifications required to complete a project design
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant internal, Customer and industry standards, policies, and procedures
- Developing Cost Basis of Estimate (BoE), including assigning labor hour estimates, materials, travel expenses, management, etc.
- Providing technical support to Project Managers (PM), Site managers, and Technicians throughout project lifecycle
- Discusses wired and wireless technology with customers and attend scoping calls to determine SOW
- Builds BOMs for different manufacturers, i.e. Cisco, Aruba
- Performs other duties as assigned by leadership

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This position operates out of an office environment, located at 18777 US Historic Route 66 Pacific, MO 63069.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, projectors, copy/fax, and smartphones.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- 4+ years of experience in a design/engineering role required
- BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) preferred but not required
- Federal government sector experience preferred but not required
- High school graduate or equivalent required
