Job Summary:

Messer CES is one of the primary faces of Messer with our customers, providing technical support throughout the life of a Bulk installation, including discussing with the customer areas where Messer can help them increase the efficiency of their processes. This position is responsible for the maintenance and service of the contracted Messer Cryogenic Product Supply Equipment at Customer Sites. The role has primary responsibility for the upkeep and maintenance of product delivery systems including N2, O2, Ar, CO2, Hydrogen, and Helium systems in the assigned coverage area.

Principal Responsibilities:

- Regularly maintain gas delivery systems that include storage tanks, vaporizers, control panels, telemetry systems, etc. for products to include N2, O2, Ar, CO2, Hydrogen, and Helium systems in the assigned coverage area

- Assist as required on customer station tank installations and removals

- Perform Corrective Maintenance service calls as needed to ensure customer installations are kept running effectively

- Be the face of Messer with our customers, providing key customer technical support throughout the life of a Bulk installation contract, including discussing with the customer areas where Messer can help them increase the efficiency of their processes

- Act as a technical resource accompanying the sales organization on customer calls

- Follow Messer safety policies, procedures, and goals

- Manage personal storeroom of inventory, approximately $50K-$150K in rotating parts

- Must be self-motivated and self-sufficient in the customer service environment, including the ability to work alone at site as the main technical resource for Messer and our Customers

- Perform call-out maintenance as required, including evening and weekend coverage occasionally, with potential for 5-10% overnight stays away from home in larger geographic coverage areas

Basic Qualifications:



  • High school degree
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record



Preferred Qualifications:



  • At least two years of post-graduation technical classes or work preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of industrial experience or equivalent preferred


  • Navy Nuclear, Air Force Fueling, Marine Cryo or Navy Fire Control experience preferred.



Pay Range: $30.00-$35.00 an hour
