JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Reporting to the Manager of Interlibrary Loan (ILL), the Resource Sharing Specialist is part of the ILL Borrowing team. ILL Borrowing obtains materials not owned by Penn State University Libraries from other libraries and document delivery sources for Penn State faculty, staff and students. In addition to borrowing materials for Penn State users, the ILL team provides lending services to external libraries, and document delivery services for materials owned in our collections. The department also handles office delivery services for University Park faculty, staff, and graduate students, and delivery of physical materials to world campus students. Primary Duties:
This position requires an Associate's degree and a minimum of four years of relevant experience. The duties of this position must be performed primarily on-site at Pattee & Paterno Libraries; ILL staff are able to be scheduled for one day of remote work per week. Preferred experience includes: familiarity with ILLiad or Worldshare, experience with an integrated library system, and customer service experience.
