Air Products has an immediate opportunity for an Enterprise Architect / Solution Architect. This role will be best served out of our HQ location in Allentown Pennsylvania working a hybrid/wfh model, but has flexibility for remote from other US regions.

Duties & Responsibilities, but are not limited to:

  • The Enterprise Architecture & Data Management (EADM) team is seeking a talented individual to both envision and execute Air Products' Digital Technology (DT) strategy for the business functions of Environment Health & Safety (EH&S) and Human Resources (HR).

  • This individual will work with stakeholders across these two functions and the enterprise to ensure that DT can deliver value-added solutions to meet the company's business goals.

  • Air Products prides itself on its focus on safety and its employees and is a global company. To meet the challenges of EH&S and HR, candidates should have a broad background in Digital Technology processes and be able to navigate complex and conflicting requirements from multiple stakeholders.

  • Ideally, individuals should have experience several of the following areas: project management, software development, architecture, and design. This role is expected to partner with teams across the enterprise in defining, designing, and proposing proof-of-concepts and minimum viable products as part of ensuring those teams deliver on the EH&S and HR strategies.

  • Additional responsibilities as a member of the EADM team include performing architecture reviews, evaluating technical roadmaps, documenting business goals among other standard enterprise architecture duties.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Partner with DT and business stakeholders to maintain the vision for the overall EH&S and HR strategies

  • Evaluate industry developments for impact on the long-term EH&S and HR strategies

  • Consult with business stakeholders on product evaluation and selection

  • Participate on the architecture review board

  • Perform architecture and security reviews

  • Ensure EH&S and HR technology roadmaps are current and sufficiently forward looking

  • Provide internal consulting services on architecture topics in the EH&S and HR domains

  • Evaluate internal functions, business development strategies and DT processes in order to suggest improvements

Required Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Information Technology or relevant curriculum

  • 7 years of IT experience

  • Experience performing architecture roles (enterprise, solution or other)

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to influence others without direct control both inside and outside of the DT organization

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical and/or senior leadership audiences

  • Able to prioritize and meet milestones when working on multiple initiatives simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years as an enterprise architect

  • Domain experience in applications and/or data

  • Familiarity with various regulatory standards such as HIPPA and GDPR

Work Hours/Travel Requirements:

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday

  • Typical Hours: Business Hours, but hours depending on customer needs

  • Work Model: hybrid/wfh/remote/travel

  • Typical Travel Percentage: <10%

  • Typical Travel Locations: ex. attending events at HQ, project specific.

  • Typical Travel Duration: ex. a couple of days, less then a week, Mon-Thur, or Mon-Fri.
