Supply Chain Manager - Drive Products

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for Category Management for Plastics, and mechanical direct materials at ABB Drive Products in New Berlin, WI, where you will be a key member of the Supply Chain Management team. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will develop, plan and implement sourcing and procurement strategy focused on optimizing costs, quality, delivery and reliability of suppliers and supplied products & services to ensure an exceptional supply base is developed and maintained to ensure material availability and service levels to support local business and customer needs.

This role is contributing to the Motion Drive Products Division in New Berlin, WI area.
You will be mainly accountable for:
*Leveraging the Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing (CIPS) process to implement effective sourcing strategies in line with local and global business and category strategies
*Ensures suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements. Responsible for Supplier performance: TCO Savings, Payment terms, OTD, Quality, lead time, budget target settings, and follow up for continuous improvement. Defines and establishes local standard agreements with all major suppliers.
*Provides and maintains standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with Company directives and guidelines.
*Designs and implements cost-out programs and/or processes to reach annual savings and operational cost reduction targets.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR Associate degree and 7 years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 9 years of relevant experience in sourcing / procurement / purchasing
  • Proficiency with software applications such as MS-Office (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Experience with SAP and Ariba SSS preferred
  • Strong data analytics with Continuous Improvement mindset
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills in a multicultural, global business environment
  • Travel required 25-30%
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
