Minitab is looking for a high performing Software Engineer. You will show a high level of autonomy, a professional curiosity, and an eagerness to find new ways to improve the product you are working on. This could involve research into new technologies that could speed up development, improve the user experience, or provide the development team better ways to implement and maintain the software. You should be able to teach others on the team new concepts they are not aware of yet and improve all members of the team across the board.

The Role:

This role will be essential in developing and maintaining Minitab's suite of software products and systems. It requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. This position offers a valuable opportunity to make meaningful contributions to Minitab's continued success and to shape the future of data-driven decision making for businesses worldwide through innovative technology adoption.

The Candidate:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, mathematics, IT or a closely related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 0-1 years of Commercial Software Development experience.


The following are desirable:



  • Understanding of software design principles, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., C++, C#, Python, JavaScript).
  • Experience with web development technologies such as HTML/CSS and JavaScript and web frameworks such as React, Vue.JS, .NET Core and Node.js.


This position is on site in State College, PA and can be eligible for a hybrid work schedule after Onboarding has been completed.
