Ronco seeks a self-motivated Drafter in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will collaborate with the engineering and sales teams to create technical drawings for low voltage system installations. Additionally, you will play an integral role in assisting the engineering team with documenting site conditions and equipment locations during on-site surveys.
Accountabilities Include:
Utilize marked-up floor plans provided by Design Engineers to produce a complete drawing package to include title blocks and project drafting folder setups, riser diagrams, point-to-point wiring diagrams, device coordination elevations and details using (CAD) software.
Review and update drawings by checking drawings for errors and updating them as new information becomes available and incorporate feedback.
Develop and maintain a library of (CAD) blocks and templates.
Assist with developing and maintaining device templates in Planswift estimating software.
Attend site surveys to assist engineers with documenting site conditions and device placement.
Utilize project material lists to inform project drafting contributions.
Adhere to company and project design standards.
Manage the storage and archiving of technical drawings.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements for Success:
Associate Degree in computer-aided drafting or equivalent experience.
0 -2 years' experience, preferably with electronic system drawings or construction drawings.
Strong proficiency creating detailed drawings and layouts using AutoCAD.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate drawings.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated commitment to task to complete assignments in a timely manner.
Ability to manage the workload and prioritize multiple tasks and projects at the same time.
Ability to collaborate with others and work in a team environment.
Basic computer skills to include understanding basic computer manipulation, managing computer files, word processing, using spreadsheets and databases, calendars, finding information, and communicating.
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite with emphasis on Excel.
