Responsibilities

At Newport Healthcare, we're dedicated to transforming lives through innovative holistic and integrative treatment. We're searching for talented therapists to join our East Bay Area Per Diem Therapist team, offering a variety of flexible scheduling options to fit your availability and interests! If you're passionate about making a difference in the lives of teens, young adults, and families, we'd love to hear from you!

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Per Diem Primary Therapist, you'll have the chance to provide meaningful, in-depth therapy that truly impacts our clients' lives.

Your Key Responsibilities May Include:

Therapy Leader: Facilitate engaging therapy sessions using Newport Healthcare's unique clinical model and the principles of Attachment-Based Family Therapy.

Assessment Specialist: Conduct risk assessments and create safety plans upon admission, followed by comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and treatment plans-on time, every time!

Team Collaborator: Work closely with your treatment team to coordinate goals and services.

Documentation Pro: Keep our records sparkling clean and up-to-date, including assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries-timely and according to our high standards.

Crisis Management Expert: Conduct risk or crisis assessments and provide intervention and management when needed.

Ambassador of Awesomeness: Represent Newport Healthcare at meetings, trainings, and conferences, spreading the word about our amazing work!

Schedule:

The great news is that our Per Diem Primary Therapist shifts are flexible and can be tailored to your availability and interests! Here are a few ways you could collaborate with us:

  • We'll regularly check in to see if you're interested in covering any available therapy sessions in the coming weeks and months.
  • We'll reach out when therapy opportunities arise to see if you can jump in on short notice, like covering for someone who called out sick.
  • You can also create an exciting and consistent schedule-like joining us on specific days each week to lead engaging groups or conduct therapy sessions!

These are just a few of the many ways you can collaborate with us, and we're all ears for any creative ideas you might have that would work for you!


Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field or enrollment in Doctorate program from an accredited or state approved graduate school required.
  • Board registered AMFT, ACSW, APCC or Psychologic Associate in the state in which services are provided required. Licensed highly preferred.
  • Experience with individual, family, and/or group therapy with young adults/adolescents.
  • Experience with mental health, substance abuse, eating disorders or trauma-informed treatment preferred.

Compensation for this role ranges from $42.48/hr - $58.41/hr. depending on education and experience.
