Job Summary

Are you a passionate culinary leader with a drive for innovation and excellence? Chartwells Higher Education is thrilled to announce an opening for a Campus Executive Chef at Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana. This is your opportunity to lead with creativity, shape memorable dining experiences, and leave a lasting impact on campus life. As the Campus Executive Chef, you will serve as the culinary visionary for our dining programs, overseeing menu innovation, food preparation, and operational excellence. This role offers the opportunity to lead a talented culinary team, manage budgeting and food costing, and ensure both client and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute innovative, regular, and modified menus in line with established guidelines, emphasizing creativity and quality.
  • Lead daily production activities, including completing production worksheets and waste log sheets.
  • Mentor and supervise chefs, cooks, and team members in food preparation, safety, sanitation practices, and equipment operation.
  • Uphold and enforce culinary standards, recipe compliance, and food quality assurance.
  • Manage inventory, ensuring compliance with guidelines while maintaining necessary stock levels.
  • Ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations, supported by successful audits.
  • Forecast and manage annual food and labor budgets, analyzing and supervising financial performance.
  • Build and nurture strong client relationships, aligning dining programs with their goals to enhance satisfaction and retention.
  • Contribute to a culture of growth, creativity, and operational excellence through effective leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of three years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience, with high-volume, hands-on foodservice expertise preferred.
  • Proficiency with computers and technology, including inventory and budgeting systems.
  • ServSafe Certification required.
