Overview

The School Health Project Manager spearheads the creation of School Health Partnerships across Ohio's 32 Appalachian counties, integrating health, education, and workforce elements to bolster underserved communities. This role involves leading project management efforts for the development and implementation of these centers, forging crucial internal and external partnerships, and collaborating closely with schools and local stakeholders to integrate student services and devise tailored community solutions. The role assists the Strategic Initiatives Manager in program evaluation and grant management within School Health Services, while developing and maintaining internal and external partnerships, integrating a data-driven structure, and implementing strategic community engagement by establishing and maintaining the School Health consultative work.

Responsibilities

* Manages School Health Services projects and programs, building community partnerships and setting goals to achieve desired outcomes. Leads planning and implementation for various school health partnership projects in Ohio's Appalachian counties in conjunction with School Health Services consultation and professional development work.
* Monitors progress of multiple community projects working with partners to identify risks and implement necessary mitigation strategies.
* Coordinates and plans for regional meetings, conferences, and events to support project goals and stakeholder engagement.
* Identifies grant funding opportunities to support programming for School Health Services. Collaborates with key personnel to write and submit grant proposals.
* Collaborates with education partners to ensure supports are integrated and aligned with school priorities and resources.
* Monitors budget and project expenditures for the design and implementation of school health models ensuring efficient allocation of resources while identifying opportunities for cost-savings and efficiencies.
* Oversees the evaluation of projects by utilizing data analysis and data management tools. Disseminates project reports to key stakeholders.
* Maintains up-to-date working knowledge of community, state and national trends in related fields (e.g., community resource centers, school health, telehealth regulations, Medicaid billing changes).
* Promotes teamwork by building a team environment and fostering cross-functional collaboration. Communicates effectively with internal multi-disciplinary teams, external community leaders, patients & their families to resolve problems and provide quality service.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.



Qualifications

Education Requirement:
* Bachelor's Degree, required.
* Master's Degree preferred.

Skills:
* Ability to operate and initiate independently, with skill in promoting multidisciplinary collaboration.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Adaptable mindset, with sensitivity to the needs of the Appalachian community being served by school health services.

Experience:
* Three years of experience in project/program management and leadership, preferred.
* Three years of experience in school, preferred.
* Experience working within Appalachian community settings, preferred.
