Your role and responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you will have the unique opportunity to optimize our assembly methods, processes, and equipment, driving significant improvements in quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Every day, you'll be instrumental in ensuring our production methods, cycle times, equipment performance, and materials/components are perfectly aligned to meet our ambitious production targets. Your expertise will shine as you define the working phase sequence of new production processes, achieving targeted product costs and equipment investment budgets. Relocation assistance available. * Define and sequence production process phases to meet cost and investment targets, ensuring efficient workflow. * Ensure production methods, cycle times, and equipment performance align with production goals and support continuous improvement. * Identify, recommend, and implement improvement projects to upgrade processes, adhering to time, quality, and cost requirements. * Approve and rigorously test process designs, providing support during start-up and training for seamless integration. * Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency, leading testing and approval processes. * Ensure compliance with ABB standards, safety protocols, and integrity, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. * Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment and collaboration to drive process and manufacturing upgrades. * Lead personal and team development, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration to maximize results and drive innovation.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or similar, OR 8+ years of experience.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as per business needs - 10% to 20% max.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and change management skills.
- Project management experience.
- Hands on approach collaborative solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple demands on your time.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
