As a Senior RF Engineer, you will be hands-on working in a RF technology development and testing lab. You will be part of the Test & Measurement team to develop and establish state of the art measurement techniques and procedures. You will also work with the Design, Technology and Product engineering to support advanced technology and product development projects. What To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities)

  • Understand and convert customer specifications into workable test solutions or into new RF test capabilities and test protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members and execute RF small signal and large signal tests.
  • Characterize test bench accuracy and capability (Gage R&R, documentation).
  • Analyze test results and feedback to Design, Technology, and Product teams in a timely manner to drive technology development and design improvement.
  • Work cross-functionally from the initial phase of technology development to product development.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers and interns.

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in physics or engineering.
  • 5+ years of component-level small-signal and high-power RF testing.
  • Proficiency in RF measurement and equipment (Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, Tuner, Power Meter, Oscilloscope, etc.).
  • Proficiency in RF testing including but not limited to: S-parameter, EVM, IMD, P1dB, Harmonics, and Ruggedness.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills. Collaborative problem solver.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal English skills.

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience with RF filter and resonator measurements at wafer level, die level, and package level.
  • Experience with CW and modulated signal measurements.
  • Experience with wafer prober systems.
  • Programming experience with WinCal, MATLAB, Python, and LabView.
  • Familiarity with component teardown and metrology.
  • Strong manual assembly skills (Tweezers, Vacuum pickup tools, Soldering Irons, die handling, PCBs).

  • Domestic travel between California offices is required.

Other

Minimum Salary: $90,000

Maximum Salary: $150,000

We consider various factors in determining actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition to salary, this position is eligible for incentive awards based on individual and business performance as well as competitive benefits.
