Description POSITION: Senior Manager, Optical Applications Development LOCATION: Greenfield, MA Mativ is a global leader in specialty materials headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia. Mativ is searching for a Senior Manager, of Optical Applications Development. This role will have global responsibility for leading customer facing end use product applications that deliver value- added solutions and innovation in the Glass Lamination Market including Smart Glass. This role will lead and develop the applications team and execute strategy in collaboration with Business Leaders, Sales, Business Development, Marketing, R&D and others. responsibilities: * Global Responsibility for leading customer-facing end use product applications that deliver valued-added solutions and innovation in the Glass Lamination Market including Smart Glass. * Lead and develop applications team. * Influence and execute the applications strategy in collaboration with Business leader, Sales, Business Development, Marketing, R&D and other functions. * Provide technical service and support to existing Optical. Evaluate issues, perform root cause analysis at customers and within our applications lab, identify potential solutions, implement corrective actions, and identify and recommend product enhancements and improvements. * Support customer quality claim investigation as needed. * Team leader for autoclave use * Perform competitive benchmarking in applications lab. * Lead proactive efforts for best in class in customer end use application training (guidelines, product data sheets, videos, customer visits). * Lead major business segment application initiatives and projects, including applications leader with outside JDA partners. * Main technical liaison at top Key Accounts, Industry Trade Associations, and Standards Organizations. * Provide regular written and oral presentations. * A high level of customer intimacy * Ability to work effectively under pressure. * Demonstrated ability to build and retain solid internal and external relationships. * Travel up to 40%. qualifications
