Mansfield is offering a dynamic Credit Analyst Internship program for the Summer of 2025, tailored for ambitious students aspiring to build their careers in Accounting, Finance, and Risk. This internship opportunity is designed for highly qualified college or university students currently pursuing their Bachelor's degree.

Overview: As an intern, you will play a crucial role in analyzing customer financial statements, extrapolating data, and providing recommendations to management on appropriate credit risk exposure. Gain firsthand experience integrating market and industry trends with customer data to develop a comprehensive risk profile. This internship offers a practical, real-world experience to complement academic studies while providing a unique opportunity to refine your business communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively engage in the Mansfield Internship Program
  • Collaborate with external and internal contacts to procure financial data.
  • Perform in-depth industry analyses on an expansive customer portfolio.
  • Conduct advanced analysis of financial statements.
  • Articulate credit recommendations supported by Mansfield risk policy.
  • Utilize external tools such as Dun and Bradstreet, LexisNexis, Experian, Moody's, Standard and Poor's, Allianz, Ascot and more.
  • Empowerment to establish mutually beneficial relationships across Mansfield.

Internship Details:

  • Duration: Full-time, paid internship ($18/hour)
  • Dates: May 19, 2025, through August 1, 2025 (Required)
  • Location: Corporate headquarters, Gainesville, GA

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Accounting, Finance, Risk, or a related field.
  • Preferred status as a Junior/Senior or completion of Intermediate Accounting I or relevant coursework emphasizing financial statement analysis.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to take initiative.
