This Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for:
  • Various studies of new therapies for food allergy and atopic dermatitis (AD) including oral and epicutaneous immunotherapy, fecal transplantation and systemic therapies for AD. Specific responsibilities will include
    • Recruiting patients
    • Coordinating patient visits, completing paperwork
    • Perform physical exams during research visits
    • Conducting food challenges, desensitizations, updosings and fecal transplantations.
    • Point person for patient calls with concerns or reactions
    • Active member of food allergy research group
  • Seeing patients in allergy clinic 2 day sessions weekly
    • Both food allergy and general allergy patients
    • Some sessions may be in a satellite location
    • Conduct food challenges on Fegan 6 and in the Center for Translational research
  • Serving as a liaison to CTSU for food allergy and atopic dermatitis studies

To qualify, you must have:

  • A Master's in Nursing and FNP or PNP Certification
  • Massachusetts APRN, DEA, and MCSR licenses
  • Pediatric NP experience or Boston Children's Hospital RN experience preferred
  • Superb communication skills, flexibility and demonstrated ability to work as a team
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and meticulous follow-through
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • The ability to work 40 hours a week- this position is temporary for 6 months and is not benefits eligible.
