Job Purpose

Provide maintenance support to ensure continuous line production.

This is a 2nd Shift Position - 2p.m. - 10p.m. Monday - Friday / Overtime may be required on Saturdays

Pay Range is: $20.98/hr - $32.00/hr. Depending on qualifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Must follow all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines.
  • Must be capable of learning and practically applying LEAN methodologies. LEAN thinking and waste elimination efforts are expected of ALL EnerSys employees.
  • Must be able to be on-time and have good attendance. Maintenance is a critical position for Sumter Metal Products.
  • Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics and diagrams.
  • Must be able to work with voltages ranging from 24 volts to 480 volts.
  • Must be able to trouble-shoot, repair, and maintain production equipment in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to repair and install facilities equipment such as HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing, and electrical circuits.
  • Must be able to repair mechanical equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, conveyor systems, chain drive systems, and hydraulic lift tables.
  • Must be flexible, willing and able to work overtime as needed to support production.
  • Must be able to use email, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Must be able to complete work orders using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Maintenance is a support function, and as such, must ensure production needs are met and maintained in a timely manner.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

1 - 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Associates degree in Mechatronics or related field. 3 or more years of related experience. Trumpf laser experience is a plus.
