What is the opportunity?

Join RBC Wealth Management's Private Client Group and be an integral member of our team by providing effective and efficient administrative support to the Complex Director. You will handle confidential information with discretion, follow our high company standards, meet regulatory requirements, and think and plan ahead to determine and meet leader's needs.

What will you do?

  • Provide support in the preparation and production of reports, presentations and events.*
  • Maintain the Director's business calendar.*
  • Manage schedules; coordinate meetings, conferences and other appointments for internal and external clients.*
  • Answers overflow incoming telephone calls for the Director.*
  • Coordinate business travel arrangements and process expense reports accurately and promptly.*
  • Prepare and distribute memos, reports and faxes. Makes copies and distributes as requested.
  • Assist with Recruitment efforts
  • Maintain office supplies, orderly files, mailing lists and prepares mailings.
  • Performs other related projects as assigned.
  • Ability to lead others both directly and indirectly

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 1 to 3 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant experience or transferrable skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Intermediate computer skills (including Microsoft Office)
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship

Other Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills: able to work effectively with others in a pleasant, professional manner
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability coordinate multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet prescribed deadlines
  • Self-starter who works independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to handle confidential matters with discretion and good judgment

Nice-to-have

  • Experience working in the financial services industry
  • SIE, Series 7, Series 66
