Mill Qualifications:

1. Must be able to perform all functions necessary to operate all equipment in the milling process in a safe, sanitary, and efficient manner.

2. Must be capable of learning the cleaning, tempering, and milling process flow.

3. Will be responsible for 5S ownership in assigned areas and CID's.

4. Will be required to maintain assigned Food Protection duties (FPP).

5. Will be required to maintain qualifications as dictated by the Employee Classification procedures (ECP's).

6. Will be responsible for production levels on the mill.

7. Will be responsible for lining out equipment and optimizing reliability rates for mill operation.

8. Will be responsible for downtime and uptime PMs of the mill.

9. Will be responsible for testing/sampling product to ensure run is in specification.

10. Must be able to trouble shoot and resolve all technical issues with all milling equipment.

11. Will be required to work side by side when maintenance personal is performing work on the equipment you are operating.

Elevator Qualifications:

1. Must be capable to learn and safely operate the grain handling tasks in the grain elevator. Must perform such tasks as: Unloading grain, blending grain,

moving rail cars with a remote-controlled shuttle wagon, simple maintenance, and lubrication tasks.

2. Must be able to complete and maintain the necessary records (Create and complete blend sheets, update database inventories, rail/truck loading/unloading data,

process efficiency data, and others as required). Operators will also be required to train/qualify on scale operations and generate One-weigh tickets for customers.

3. Must maintain high levels of safety and sanitation performance in and around the grain elevators and other areas as assigned

4. Will be required to maintain areas as assigned to meet or exceed Food Protection Audit requirements (FPA).

5. Be able to write work orders for repairs or deficiencies in the elevator.

6. Will be required to maintain qualifications as dictated by the Employee Classification Procedures (ECP's).

7. Must have a working knowledge of and ability to use computers, scales, operate control board, blend grain, etc.

Duties when not relieving operators:

1. Scrub areas of buildings and equipment

2. Paint as needed and directed

3. Patch holes in walls/floors/ceilings left from former equipment removal

4. Clean and organize areas as assigned

5. Reliefs will not sweep floors that are assigned to operators, unless directed

Physical requirements and working conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation):

  • Must be able to ascend and descend stairs, multiple times per day

  • Climb ladder, step and extension

  • Able to lift to 50 pounds and exert 20 pounds of force

  • Frequently stand, walk, rotate, bend/stoop, twist, crouch, kneel, balance and reach at shoulder level and below shoulder level

  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation

  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including a dust mask

  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)

Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.
