Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager, Strategic Analysis will be responsible for managing the business case and initial assessment of projects within the Strategic Program Office (SPO). This individual will ensure that all projects align with the overall goals and objectives of the business by providing data-driven insights and financial analysis to guide decision making. This role will support the VP of Strategic Data and Financial Analysis in assessing project viability, tracking performance, and ensuring alignment with the company's strategic priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the development of business cases for all projects entering the SPO process, including cost-benefit analysis, financial forecasts, and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and interpret data to support project business cases and strategic decision making.
  • Ensure alignment of special projects with the company's overall objectives, assessing both short-term and long-term impacts to the business.
  • Provide data-driven insights to assist in project prioritization, approval, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project performance against financial and operational benchmarks, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in developing metrics to measure the success of projects within SPO.
  • Support the development of financial models and dashboards to track project performance and ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Prepare executive-level reports and presentations summarizing project analysis, risks, financial performance, and strategic alignment.
  • Participate in project reviews and provide recommendations based on financial analysis and strategic fit.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience in the areas of Business Analysis, Portfolio Management, or Product Management preferably in telecommunications and technology domains
  • BA required; MA preferred
  • Strong experience in developing business cases, financial models, and conducting cost-benefit analyses
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to assess project alignment with broader business objectives

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $77,112.00-$110,160.00/year.
