Job Description

Danfoss in Ames, Iowa is looking for a Quality Engineer Intern. This position will support the Quality Team while working on Quality and Continuous Improvement tasks and projects.The Quality intern will work closely with the Quality Leadership Team to keep reports up to date, work on various quality projects, and complete assignments that provide experience within Quality and Danfoss. The Quality intern will work within cross functional teams across the entire Danfoss facility, and in some cases potentially with facilities outside of Ames.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.



  • Support the Quality Team's progressive Quality Development Plan and objectives that support the company
  • Assist in writing basic procedures and documentation of processes
  • PowerBI creation and maintenance
  • Assist with projects within the Quality Department

  • Currently seeking a bachelor'sor postgraduate degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Agricultural, Computer, or Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Statistics.Sophomores and above preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, OneNote, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
  • Proficiency in PowerBI and Power Apps
  • Available to work15-20 hours per week when class is in session during the semesters,40 hours/week during the Summer
  • Candidates must be located within 50 miles of the work location.
