TITLE: Applications Manager

DEPARTMENT: Territorial Information Technology

STATUS: Full-Time, Exempt

PAY RANGE: $75,000 - $85,000

MAJOR FUNCTION:

Oversee and optimize the performance, maintenance, and development of The Salvation Army Mission Manager (TSAMM) and Microsoft 365 Applications ensuring these applications meet business needs and operate efficiently.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
TSAMM Applications Management (65%)

  • Build efficiency into the software program modules on the TSAMM platform.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of the application, coordinating updates, patches, and new feature implementations.
  • Review requests for new processes or updates to existing modules.
  • Prepare progress reports to inform management of project status and deviation from goals.
  • Monitor application performance, security, and compliance.
  • Liaise between users, IT teams, and vendors including participation in committees.
  • Ensure application security and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and training.
  • Coordinate and facilitate communication with the Commands and THQ Departments to define application software design, feature sets, workflow, etc. around business goals and requirements for new and existing technology implementation.
  • Advise IT leadership on strategic TSAMM application systems conversions and integrations in support of business goals and objectives.


Microsoft 365 Applications Management (25%)

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert for Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Provide Administration and Management to ensure continued functionality.
  • Train users how to update and maintain their applications.


Builds & Maintains Business Relationships (10%)

  • Works with specialists, technical consultants, and vendors concerning application software issues.
  • Prepares proposals for the recommendation of application software products and services according to established organizational policies.
  • Builds and maintains healthy relationships with 3rd party vendors, suppliers, and application developers.



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong knowledge of TSAMM and related technologies.
  • Proficiency in using and administration of Microsoft 365.
  • Able to analyze business processes and transform them digitally.
  • Able to work with various user groups and complete tasks or projects on time.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and teach them to others.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management.



EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Documented experience in advanced application management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Sharepoint administration a plus.
