How can you make an impact?

The Secondary Associate Director of Product Marketing works closely with Product Development, Sales, peer Marketing leaders, and our support functions to lead the development of effective cohesive program-wide product marketing strategies. This individual's product must maximize revenue and maintain targeted margins, ensuring consistent product use, and maintaining high levels of satisfaction across all phases of the product life cycle. The Secondary Associate Director of Product Marketing must build a working knowledge of the K-12 Education market with a focus on ELA, spending time with sales and marketing leadership, engaging with customers, and meeting with industry experts to build a base of knowledge beyond what can be learned from internal data sources.

This individual will be responsible for coaching and delivering on the execution of high-impact marketing strategies that include market research, customer segmentation, market assessment, competitive positioning, pricing, as well as informing product development across product lines. The Secondary Associate Director of Product Marketing will represent the voice of the customer, contribute to the expansion of our product and service offerings, and manage the launch of new products, supporting high-visibility campaigns, and developing high-impact collateral.

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead development of product marketing strategies aligned with revenue, product, and customer goals
  • Champion the voice of the customer, including personas, market insights, and competitive landscape, in business decisions
  • Optimize in-market product performance with clear metrics and lifecycle-aligned strategies
  • Collaborate with Product Management to identify gaps and opportunities for ongoing product development
  • Create effective go-to-market strategies, including customer segmentation, positioning, pricing, and distribution
  • Develop sales enablement tools, lead annual marketing plans, and drive national marketing efforts for the product line

We are looking for someone with...

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, or related field
  • 5+ years of 6-12 literacy marketing experience
  • Experience with designing and executing effective go-to-market strategies as well as experience with segmentation, positioning, pricing, and new product development practices is a plus
  • Successful track record of partnering closely with a Sales-driven organization to achieve revenue, usage, and satisfaction targets
  • Delight in the numbers and a passion for making analytics-based decisions
  • Some travel required, up to 25% during pockets of the year

The pay range for this position is between $87,000-$150,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. An annual bonus plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
