Advantage Resourcing is hiring a Machine Operator in Putnam, CT, to operate a coating machine that applies solvent-based adhesives. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team focused on quality and safety.

Pay Rate: $20.00/hr to $23.00/hr (based on experience)

Shift:



  • Sunday 11:00 PM - Friday 7:00 AM (40 hours/week)
  • Overtime available on Fridays (11:00 PM - Saturday 7:00 AM)


In this role, as a Machine Operator, you'll be responsible for operating the reverse roll coating machine to apply solvent-based adhesives to a moving web, ensuring a consistent, high-quality, and uniform coating. You'll work closely with the Lead Laminating Operator and team to maintain machine efficiency, perform product changeovers, and minimize downtime through quick cleanups. You'll also monitor and adjust machine settings, mix adhesives, and handle materials such as rolls of film and adhesive drums using material handling equipment. In addition, you'll work with solvents, maintain a clean work area, and assist with coating and laminating operations during breaks. Throughout, you'll collaborate with the team to ensure smooth production flow and a safe working environment.

Qualifications:



  • Ability to maneuver heavy drums of liquid safely using a dolly.
  • Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.
  • Previous experience with machinery operation and material handling is preferred but not required (this is an entry-level position).
  • Comfortable working in a non-air-conditioned environment that can be dirty or sticky.
  • Strong focus on safety and attention to detail.
