This Business Analytics opportunity will allow you to accelerate your career growth, develop a deep understanding of the social impact, and hone your skillset in the creation of business applications, data visualization and reporting leveraging the Power Platform and other Microsoft technologies within the MSP Operations team. The ideal candidate will develop a deep understanding of the business across multiple areas, considering relevant external trends and anticipating business problems. They will provide insights to understand issues beyond stated concerns and leverage appropriate data and metrics to align with business needs, integrating additional data when necessary. The candidate will determine and utilize the right tools and techniques to address business questions, execute analyses, build solutions, and interpret results with actionable recommendations. They will partner with others to build on existing frameworks and develop compelling solutions that enable data-driven decision making, including dashboards, reports, data visualizations, business solutions, slides, and talking points. With minimal guidance, they will evaluate the impact of business, product, and operational decisions, working within and across teams to deepen expertise in data sources, methodologies, analytical tools, and processes. The candidate will foster a positive environment by learning and adopting best practices, will assist with documentation for senior team members as requested, and adhere to ethics and privacy policies when executing projects and collecting data. ResponsibilitiesRecommends and delivers efficiency improvements for core work related to analytics, tools, and reporting that are reusable, self-service, and directed to meaningful interpretation of data and driving business decisions. Evaluates the viability of automated methods for use in reporting or program enablement, and/or analysis and makes recommendations for whether to make them standard practices.Determines appropriate tools and techniques to address business questions, executes analyses high-volume, high-dimensionality data from multiple data sources (e.g., cloud, SQL) and interprets results with actionable recommendations. Critically evaluates assumptions about data or analysis methods to ensure they are appropriate for developing key insights and recommendations to complex business problems.Leverages appropriate types of data and/or metrics, determines alignment with business needs and whether to integrate additional data. Identifies and takes steps to address gaps and/or quality issues in data with data providers, in partnership with other teams.Interface with Philanthropies stakeholders to envision solutions using your domain knowledge and Power Platform expertise. This will often involve the translation of complex business terms and processes into a Power Platform supported vision. Engage with internal customers to collect and document their requirements. This includes teasing out unspoken nuances that are often critical to the design and development of the solutions we build.Provide client direct or indirect support for solutions that the Philanthropies Business Operations has created or been involved with.Act as a Reporting and Tooling Subject Matter Expert. Here you may be assisting other team members or clients with questions or problems that are not necessarily part of a formal project. Manage a portfolio of Philanthropies projects from initial assessment to completion, including clear understanding of business problems and opportunities, securing data usage rights, ensuring readiness of datasets, and working with data engineers and data scientists to develop and deploy solutions.Apply communication skills to convey actionable insights in a clear, concise manner that lead to high business impact.OtherEmbody our Culture and Values |
