Position Summary

The University of New Mexico Information Technologies EMSS (Enterprise Managed Systems and Sercives) team is seeking a Systems Analyst 3 to help maintain and expand a robust systems framework that supports current and future on-prem and cloud services in a large and complex academic enterprise. The successful applicant will have expertise in Microsoft and VMWare technologies. Also, exceptional communication skills, a thorough understanding of IT systems management best practices and outstanding customer service for the values, procedures and standards found in a higher education environment.

Duties Include:

1. Provides support for
mission critical systems that supports 50,000+ students, faculty, staff
and affiliates university wide.
2. Responsible for meeting audit
compliance including but not limited to FERPA, HIPAA, PCI, GLBA and Export
control.
3. Provides central management and
support for over 300 servers and 5000+ workstations.
4. Provides technical assistance on
a variety of projects with direct and positive impact to user experience and
security at UNM.
5. Assists in the design and rollout
of integrated information systems solutions to meet university requirements.
6. Assists in the development,
implementation, installation, upgrades, migrations and testing of complex
enterprise systems.
7. Supports, monitors, troubleshoots
EMSS team's systems and services.
8. Serves as backup to SMEs for
critical EMSS services.
9.. Manages Cherwell tasks
effectively and completes them by their due dates while providing outstanding
customer service.
10. Identifies and capitalizes on
opportunities for automation via scripting, job scheduling and related
disciplines.
11. Documents and publishes
information and instructions on systems, services and processes.
12. Troubleshoots, assists and
resolves hardware, software, connectivity and security problems.
13. Maintains currency of knowledge
with respect to relevant technologies and systems.
14. Provides on-call support for
EMSS team's services.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 2 years of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis.

Powershell

Monitoring

Backup/Restore

2. Preferred Experience In:

Microsoft Azure

SCCM/Intune/Jamf

Microsoft Exchange Server

VMWare vSphere/vCAC/vRA/NSX
