Family & Children's Services, Oklahoma's leading provider of behavioral health care and family services, seeks an engaged, compassionate, and enthusiastic Family Preservation Specialist to provide a range of in-home services to families based upon their unique and individual needs and goals, in order to prevent out-of-home placement of children. This individual will maintain a flexible schedule which includes some evenings.

The services are family-focused, child-centered and help caregivers learn necessary skills to avoid using abuse or neglect in parenting. Staff are trained in evidenced based practices, SafeCare, a parent training program and Motivational Interviewing, as well as other approaches used in the program to promote home safety, healthy relationships, health and parent-child interaction.

Requirements:



  • Case Manager II: Must be a high school graduate or have a HS equivalent + 36 months
    experience in behavioral health field OR 60 hours college credit in any field + 12 months
    of behavioral health experience required.
    Case Manager III: Bachelor's Degree in any field + 6 months experience in a behavioral
    health field required
    Case Manager IV: Bachelor's degree in social science field required Case Management II
    certification or obtain by taking the first available Case Management Certification course
    provided by ODMHSAS after hire.

    Must have a strong commitment to the right and ability of each person served to live in
    normal community residences; and have access to helpful, adequate, competent, and
    continuous supports and services.
    Skills and competence to establish supportive trusting relationships with persons with
    mental illnesses and/or substance abuse issues and respect for client rights and personal
    preferences in treatment are essential.
    Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver License and satisfactory driving


CCBHC Model of Care

Family & Children's Services works to heal hurting and abused children, strengthen families, and provide hope and a path to recovery for those battling mental illness and addiction. You will be working in an innovative and dynamic environment using a new transformative model of care Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). This model is characterized by innovative, team-based approach and whole person care for adults and children with a range of complex mental health and substance use challenges.

Utilizing multi-disciplinary teams, staff work collaboratively to provide a coordinated effort to enhance client recovery. Robust CCBHC services often result in better client outcomes and quality of care due to:



  1. Increased access to care and crisis services
  2. Expanded traditional community mental health and substance use services.
  3. Added Care Coordination and physical health screening for mental health clients
  4. Greater access to Social Services for clients' economic and social needs
  5. Increased specialized services for veterans, those most in need, and those impacted by the opioid crisis.
