About the role

The Plant Director is responsible for leading the overall activities of the Wanamingo plant by developing and establishing overall goals and objectives in support of the Reckitt Benckiser/Mead Johnson North America Business Strategy. In this role, you'll develop long range plans and objectives related to cost reductions, facility improvements, new products production, succession planning, equipment upgrades and quality improvements. Key responsibilities includedirecting the establishment of goals and objectives compatible with overall plant goals and objectives, delegating functional responsibility to each department manager to attain agreed upon goals and objectives and counseling department managers on the course of action to improve performance and correct deficiencies.

Your responsibilities

  • EnsureWanamingo Plant conformance to and support of the Reckitt Benckiser/Mead Johnson N.A. Quality Strategy
  • Ensureeffective implementation of the Wanamingo Quality Systems
  • Analyzeand auditdata from all departments relative to the location's performance
  • Recommendand submitthe overall fixed, operational and capital budgets for the location, and administers, the approved budgets
  • Developshort and long range plans to ensure the successful operation of the facility
  • Ensurethat all physical assets of the plant are effectively protected and maintained
  • Ensureeffective communication with: North American Commercial Groups, Global Category Teams, Global Teams (X-Trim, Squeeze), other NA Supply functions
  • Reviewand approveall capital expense requests (CER's) and submits to Director of Manufacturing for further processing
  • Ensurecompliance with all applicable government regulations
  • Ensurethe establishment and implementation of an effective HR planning and review process as well as programs of training and team development
  • DemonstrateReckitt Benckiser/Mead Johnson N.A. values, principled leadership and ethical behavior to build trust, credibility and foster teamwork

The experience we're looking for

  • College degree in Business or technical discipline with 7-10 years managerial experience in several areas of manufacturing and logistics, such as production, materials, engineering, etc
  • 10 + years progressive experience in Supply Operations including management of smaller facility
  • Excellent Communication, Interpersonal, Leadership and Team Building Skills
  • Knowledge of Employee Involvement Teams
  • Thorough knowledge of OSHA Regulations for Packaging, Manufacturing Operations
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable ISO 9002 Quality System. Control Plans, SOP's and Work Instructions
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, JDE and SAP
