Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Academic Coach for the School of Nursing. The Academic Coach for the Office of Academic Success at Rutgers School of Nursing will provide academic support to the School of Nursing Students on the Blackwood Campus and participate in the academic coaching schedule across all nursing campuses.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

  • Responsible for the development and delivery of workshops and resources to assist students in developing critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills.
  • Contributes to the delivery of OAS services.
  • Coaches students individually or in groups.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience.

Certifications/Licenses
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license.

  • Ability to use different teaching methods and to transmit information in a manner that is accessible and understandable to students.
  • Able to analyze complex student-related matters accurately, draw valid conclusions, and propose various alternative courses of action.
  • Initiative and resourcefulness in planning work assignments and implementing long-term program improvements.
  • Establish and keep cooperative working relationships with students, staff, faculty, and other members of the university community.
  • Interpret and apply program and university policies and procedures.
