The Azure Edge + Platform engineering team is seeking a Principal Software Engineer Manager-Azure Edge and Platform. In this role, you will lead a diverse team of passionate engineers with a wide range of experiences and backgrounds. Your primary responsibility will be to help your team achieve their best while maintaining excellent team health and ensuring everyone stays focused on delivering high-scale, cloud-native services for Windows partners and manufacturers. Responsibilities Coach and support partnerships with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., project manager, technical lead) to determine customer requirements.Drive the identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform.Guide team members in producing extensible and maintainable code.Oversee multiple groups' project plans, release plans, and work items in coordination with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., project managers, partners and customers from across the globe).Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guide other engineers across products, working on call to monitor systems/products/services for degradation, downtime, or interruptions.Seek new knowledge that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale; and share knowledge with other engineers. | |
