Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform a vital role in contributing to the company's strategic objectives. Each day, you will make a positive impact on business operations by supporting and collaborating with the business. You will also showcase your expertise by participating in the comprehensive Global Early Talent Program as per the plan. The work model for the role is: Onsite/Hybrid This role is contributing to the Instrumentation/Analytics/ Finance Group in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Main stakeholders are Finance and FP&A. You will be mainly accountable for: *Supporting the implementation, delivery, and continuous improvement of products and services within the defined area as directed. *Contributing to multiple assignments with clearly defined Key Performance Indicators across various countries to broaden your experience and further develop intercultural skills. *Delivering the assigned tasks/projects within the assignment period. *Participating in required formal training programs (e.g., Leadership Challenge Program, specific functional training) to develop personal, functional, and leadership skills. The program is made up of three assignments in different roles. 1) One nine-month assignment in your home country as an introduction to the business. 2) One six-month assignment abroad to get an overview of ABB's operations in a different environment/role and work on an exciting assignment with a different team, expanding your network. 3) One nine-month assignment back to the home country/home business, where you will deepen your knowledge of the business and of your function. During the program we will take the participants on a leadership competency development journey. The last rotation will also be the time where the participants start to look for their final position, to be started after the end of the program.
Qualifications for the role
- Recent Master's Graduate: You have recently completed (or will complete before the program's start) a master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Professional Experience: Ideally, you have some professional experience in a Finance-related function such as Controlling or Audit.
- Communication Skills: You are an effective communicator with strong oral and written skills.
- Financial Expertise: You have a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.
- Technical Proficiency: You are proficient in IT, with advanced skills in Excel. Experience with business intelligence tools or programming is a plus.
- Work Authorization: You hold valid work authorization in the U.S.
- Team and Global Mindset: You thrive in a team environment, have a global perspective, and are eager to learn. You are open to new ideas, persistent, and curious.
- Career Interest: You are passionate about developing a career in Controlling, particularly within the Manufacturing sector.
