Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions (TGCS) is seeking a Manager-Testing Retail Transformation Services. We are looking for a forward-thinking and results-driven Testing Strategy & Enablement Manager to design, develop, and deliver specialized testing solutions and services for retailers, with a primary focus on grocery and specialty retail. This individual will create and lead delivery of testing packages that help customers build their testing infrastructure, define testing strategies, create test plans, and deploy automated testing frameworks.

As an integral part of the Retail Transformation Services team the Manager will be responsible for various Client Enablement programs as needed to support activities for both HW and SW solutions, mainly in the ELERA world.

In addition to designing and delivering offerings, the successful candidate will establish and manage a team of testing professionals to expand the reach and impact of our testing services over time. This leadership role requires the ability to foster relationships across departments, collaborate with clients, and ensure continuous improvement within training programs.

Qualifications
  • Educational Background
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Professional Experience
    • 8+ years of experience in Professional Services or Consulting, with a focus on customer solution testing.
    • 3+ years of experience in automated testing, including test development, execution, and familiarity with frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or similar tools.
    • 3+ years of experience in Non-Functional Testing.
    • Hands-on experience with Retail POS software solutions, preferably distributed or cloud-based systems.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Proficiency in developing comprehensive test strategies, plans, and schedules.
    • Strong familiarity with manual and automated solution testing methodologies.
  • Training and Mentorship
    • Experience training and mentoring customer teams to build sustainable testing processes and expertise.
  • Project Management
    • Proven ability to manage multiple clients and complex project schedules effectively.
  • Communication Skills
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Flexibility and Travel
    • Willingness to travel (~20-30%) for client engagements and project needs.
Responsibilities Testing Strategy Development & Delivery
  • Design comprehensive testing enablement packages for Toshiba's customers, including test strategies for POS hardware and software solutions.
    • Cover manual, automated, regression, and progression testing.
  • Drive customer excellence with Functional and Non-Functional testing.
  • Help customers establish testing infrastructure, labs, and processes to meet operational needs.
  • Provide guidance on best-in-class test plans, schedules, and documentation, aligned with business goals, quality KPIs, and release cycles.
  • Develop and manage automated testing services, including tools, frameworks, and resources.
Customer Enablement & Training
  • Mentor and train customers to build their own testing teams and processes through structured enablement programs.
  • Lead initiatives to help retailers enhance and maintain in-house testing capabilities.
  • Present testing best practices and ensure knowledge transfer to customer teams.
  • Conduct workshops, virtual training sessions, and hands-on labs to enhance customer proficiency.
Consulting & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with internal teams (Product, Professional Services, Quality) to align testing initiatives with in-house processes, tools, resources, and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with customer stakeholders to identify key testing needs and customize solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, providing strategic recommendations on testing automation and infrastructure improvements.
Continuous Improvement & Best Practices
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of testing strategies and programs, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends in testing technologies and methodologies, including AI.
  • Promote best practices and continuous improvement across all enablement services.
Team Leadership & Management
  • Build scalable processes for team expansion, managing testing professionals as the program grows.
  • Provide coaching, performance management, and career development opportunities for team members.
  • Manage resource allocation and project staffing across multiple initiatives.
  • Handle operational responsibilities such as budgeting, travel planning, and technology enablement for the training team.
