As the Fabrication Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating sheet metal machines such as shears, saws, drills, press brakes, punch presses, water jets, plasma tables, and other tools to cut, bend, punch, and shape metal stock into components that meet production specifications. You will work under the guidance of the Production Supervisor to ensure quality and efficiency in every step of the process.

You Will:

  • Operate sheet metal equipment following established procedures.

  • Load and unload parts using cranes.

  • Perform tool changes as per standard operating procedures.

  • Follow blueprints and job orders to shape and form metal stock.

  • Set up sheet metal machines, process workpieces, and inspect them for accuracy using standard methods.

  • Shape production pieces to specific configurations, holding close dimensions on finished parts.

  • Use gauges and measuring equipment to meet tight tolerances.

You Have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 2+ years of experience in sheet metal equipment operations.

  • Basic understanding of sheet metal machine operations, practices, and processes.

  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.

  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform precise bends and cuts.

  • Ability to interpret blueprints and produce parts to exact specifications.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
