Position Responsibilities

Deltek TIP Technologies is the leading integrated Quality Management Software (QMS) purpose-built for manufacturers and government contractors. Our quality management system consists of many flexible modules designed to support evolving industry regulations, advanced quality requirements, and supply chain quality. Shop floor integration provides real-time visibility into the production process so users can accelerate their reaction to a shift in quality to reduce costs and improve operations.

Deltek is actively seeking a Senior Consultant to join our passionate, dedicated, and growing workforce in our Deltek Professional Services team within our TIPQA/TIPSFE practice. As part of our TIP team, the Senior Consultant provides consulting services related to the implementation of our QMS and Shop Floor Execution (SFE) solutions at customer locations and in a virtually.

Candidates in this role will be responsible for the following:

  • Leading and supporting project engagements to ensure smooth implementations of Deltek TIPQA and TIPSFE software. This position is a client-facing role. Successful team members are comfortable working as either individual contributors or within a broader project-team based environment, with Deltek teammates and other TIP Consultants.
  • Supporting all phases of a TIPQA/TIPSFE implementation: designing, configuring, testing, documenting, implementing, and long-term support.
  • Working on multiple projects simultaneously, requiring well-developed organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Managing engagement scope and client expectations. Planning and organizing the work of the team and determining, monitoring, and reporting on project status. Identifying and appropriately communicating license and services opportunities.
  • Leveraging lifecycle implementation experience to anticipate changes required in project plans and processes. Effectively communicating issues and alternative solutions. Taking initiative to achieve valued-added results and improve upon solutions offered.
  • Developing and fostering collaborative working relationships with customers.
  • Identifying, communicating, and solutioning client issues and challenges.
  • Working collaboratively with clients, project managers, third-party consultants, and Deltek Professional Services staff utilizing Deltek consulting and project methodologies, techniques, tools, and solutions to transfer knowledge and relevant experience.
  • Assisting with/owning specified data mapping activities to customer ERP systems and other key business systems.
  • Updating and creating training materials, facilitating trainings and other events to help share implementation best practices and product knowledge with other consultants.
  • Using non-billable time to learn and test new products and working with clients and prospects to promote additional services and billable time.
  • Supporting business development efforts by estimating work efforts and performing other business development support activities.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in Business & Management, Computers & Technology, or Science & Technology; or equivalent experience is required.
  • One of the following at a minimum:
    • 5+ years of experience implementing training and/or supporting a QMS/ERP/MRP system(s) in a regulated manufacturing environment. (Deltek TIPQA experience desired)
    • 5+ years of industry experience in Quality Management (Quality Engineering, Inspection, Auditing, Metrology or Management) or Shop Floor (Manufacturing Engineering, Production Control, Industrial Engineering
    • Preferred but not required:
      • SME [formerly known as Society of Manufacturing Engineers]
        • Certified Manufacturing Associate (CMfgA)
        • Certified Manufacturing Technologist (CMfgT)
        • Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)
      • ASQ [American Society for Quality]
        • Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
        • Certified Quality Inspector (CQI)
        • Certified Quality Technician (CQT)
        • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
        • Certified Six Sigma Green / Yellow / Black Belt (CSSGB / CSSGB / CSSBB)
  • Familiarization with at least one of the following ERP systems: Oracle Manufacturing, Deltek Costpoint, Infor ERP LN, SAP or Microsoft Dynamics AX
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate across all layers of an organization is required
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • US citizenship is required for this position

Compensation Information

The U.S. salary range for this position is $68500.00 - $119750.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
