Position Description:
Fanello Industries, part of the Ryerson family of companies, has an opportunity for a Welder position. As a Welder you are responsible for applying appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, and repair parts of metal or other materials.

Roles and Responsibilities:
* You will apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, and repair parts of metal or other materials * Your knowledge of layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics and sketches using manual, automatic, and/or semi-automatic welding equipment allows you to complete your work in a timely manner * You will fixture and mark weld points on parts or sub-assemblies * Using measuring instruments and hand tools, you will position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps * You start the day reviewing production orders then preparing your material for processing * Safety is a priority - you will learn proper safety measures via online and in-person training * You ensure the material meets a customer's expectations by checking the size, finish, and accuracy of the finished product * All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice
Position Requirements:
* Successfully pass a skills-based assessment evaluating reading, math, inspection & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills * Regular attendance, including being on time and ready to work at assigned start time. * Great attitude and team player * Ability to work assigned overtime, at times with short notice * Ability to find, enter, and print information on a computer as necessary * Ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision and hearing, as well as mobility and lifting requirements * Additional requirements based on what machine a candidate would be using and the skills needed to operate (if applicable)
