What is the opportunity?

Partners across IT and with assigned business line(s) to assess, research, and analyze business, technical and system needs and developing technology solutions that meet stakeholder needs.

What will you do?

  • System Analysis and Design
    • Participates in the creation/extension of application architecture.
    • Assists or leads in the creation of application design, structure and implementation with consideration for performance, maintainability, and reusability.
    • Participates in the evaluation of 3rd party vendors and software as well as due diligence exercises.
    • Partners with SaaS providers to lead transition of development functions from vendor professional services to internal, RBC led development, where applicable.
    • Keeps current with emerging technologies and a desire to learn and apply new knowledge.
  • Communication & Teamwork
    • Collaborate with Enterprise Data, Engineering, Hosting, and Security teams.
    • Coordinate work and manage tasks across business and functionally technical teams in an agile environment.
    • Communicates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and conveys complex technical information at appropriate levels for intended audience.
  • Project Management & Leadership
    • Coordinates and facilitates meetings for technical design, problem solving, decision making, and task implementation.
    • Assists in providing direction, expertise, feedback, mentorship, coaching and development to build the capability of more junior staff.
  • Coordinates System Implementation & Configuration
    • Expert understanding of MuleSoft architecture, its components and connectors.
    • Assists the DevOps engineers with integrating development code and automated tests completed in sprint with build and release processes.
    • Collaborates with production support engineering to build run-time metrics and monitoring hooks into the code base.

What do you need to succeed?

Must haves:

  • 5+ years of developing middle tier applications using MuleSoft
  • 7+ years of creating software applications.
  • 5+ years of experience creating restful API's

Nice to haves:

  • Experience working in financial technology and working with wealth management companies.
  • Experience working with large language models and making smarter decisions using both predictive and generative AI.
  • Create and consume GraphQL API's
  • Solution Architecture experience at the Enterprise level
