Who we are looking for...

The Senior Financial Analyst will provide strong analytical-based decision support and reporting support to the Meals and Sauces Category Team. The role will report to the Senior Manager FP&A - Meals and Sauce. In this role, the individual will be critical in the innovation and commercialization process, monthly close and projection cycle, and the annual and monthly marketing budget process. This role will have detailed exposure to the entire P&L for Brands and specific products collaborating with Finance leads of the Business Units and cross-functional teams such as R&D, Marketing and Supply Chain.

What you will do...

Innovation & Commercialization

Serves as the primary finance partner on the innovation and commercialization teams. This will include developing new product P&L's to understand the viability of different innovation ideas and adjusting the financials as assumptions change. The individual will provide recommendations and advise the cross functional teams of financial implications to consider while highlighting key performance indicators. P&L's are developed using input from supply chain finance, sales finance, and marketing, and are presented to the brand and finance leadership.

Monthly Close and Projection Cycle

Responsible for the various monthly close activities to ensure the books are closed in an accurate and timely manner. The individual will support analyzing and explaining business drivers for the monthly results, ultimately forming recommendations for the upcoming projection cycle. Understanding "what happened", "why did it happen" and "what does that mean as we look forward" are important aspects of this role. This also includes participation in the integrated business planning (IBP) cycle as a part of the demand step.

Marketing Budgeting Process

Supports the Marketing function to create and submit an annual operating plan budget. Responsible for the monthly close and projection process by providing analytical insight regarding financial results, highlighting risks, opportunities, or trends that could impact projections.

Reporting

Drives standardization and simplification throughout the reporting needs of the Division. Reporting spans from monthly reports to the creation of presentations for leadership level audiences. Creating and maintaining dashboards in Power BI will also be critical aspects of this role.

Additional Responsibilities

Beyond the items noted above, this role will act as a partner to the finance leads in assisting in multiple scenario planning, annual operating plans, strategic plans, quarterly CFO letters, and presentation creation and ad-hoc requests from our cross functional partners.

COMPLEXITY AND SCOPE:

  • Must perform a variety of financial functions including, but not limited to, planning, budgeting, variance analysis and detailed financial analysis
  • Must be a self-starter who can deal with ambiguous situations
  • Must be comfortable dealing with multiple agendas and driving decisions through influencing without authority
  • Effectively partner with cross functional teams and manage concurrent project timelines with the ability to prioritize accordingly
  • Exceptional data analysis and financial modeling capabilities with a strong understanding of core financial concepts

What you bring to the table (Must have)...

  • Bachelor's Degree - preferably in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
  • Minimum 3 years professional related experience
  • Understanding and experience with the P&L budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities including prior financial modeling
  • Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and Power Point

It would be great if you have (Nice to have)...

  • Knowledge of SAP (EPM) & power BI preferred
  • Ability to take on critical projects, as well as lead multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

$67,100-$96,500

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
