Summary The Machine Operator's responsibility is to perform all work necessary to manufacture quality conveyor belting utilizing various types of equipment including sewing machine, coating head, ovens, winder/unwinders and overhead cranes. All work to be done in accordance with production order, scheduling specifications and other accepted practices, procedures and safety rules. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Observe and follow safety rules as prescribed by the safety policy.
- Completes an expected amount of work based on production line schedule and work instructions.
- Able to operate all necessary equipment in a proficient manner, including hand tools and overhead crane.
- Coordinates and cooperates with supervisors, lead person and co-workers to complete the required tasks by the required ship dates.
- Complete production runs without defects and with minimal waste.
- Perform in-process quality checks per Ammeraal Beltech standards
- Housekeeping and work area maintenance is completed per 6S guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members in change over, start-up and running production line
- Complete any additional special assignments as assigned
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- High school Diploma, GED, Technical/Trade School or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
- Prior manufacturing work experience in operating machinery and using various hand tools.
- Ability to read and comprehend production orders and work instructions written in English.
- Ability to operate an overhead crane to support production lines
- Must be able to work in the US

- During the performance of his/her work duties, the incumbent will be required to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, and will frequently lift up to 25 pounds such as moving parts from material storage and moving parts in and out of work area.
