The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary
Under the direction of the Practice Operations Manager and Director of Practice Operations, the Practice Manager is primarily responsible for daily operations for the ENT/Otolaryngology clinical practices, including offsites, overseeing the practice administrators. Focus will be on the day to day front end practice operations including the reception/check in/check out areas, serve as primary liaison with CRO Authorization team, and ensure all front end practice workflows are being adhered to, specifically in regards to insurance verification, registration, referrals and authorizations. Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct the activities of all administrative front end staff including performance management, review of policies and procedures, and with the Practice Administrator, provide disciplinary action as needed.
- Responsible for maintaining time off requests and assigning/ensuring coverage for all practice administrators.
- Troubleshoot day of issues, streamline and recommends process improvements, and ensures smooth and efficient workflows including taking steps to maximize the patient experience in the practices.
- Work closely with Phoenix to ensure EPIC templates are maximized and support efficient workflows.
- Ensure front end team understands monthly front end metrics and support them to reach goals including access, WQ management and missing charge reports.
- Ensure all EPIC, registration and new workflow policies are reviewed and followed by front end team.
- Works closely with CRO Auth Team to ensure seamless workflow with order and referral entry, ensure timely and clear communication, and work on reduction of denials/write offs.
- Work closely with revenue teams and respond in a timely manner for any insurance registration issues that are delaying charge submission.
- Work closely with finance team to ensure all invoices are paid and reconciliation process for orderables/supplies are up to date.
- Meet with providers to review best practices, new initiatives, workflows and order entry.
- Work closely with 51st management to review workflows at 51st and 880 practice locations.
- Orders office supplies, manages payroll, troubleshoots IT issues, and facilities management.
- Focus on patient satisfaction surveys via Qualtrics and implement changes in the practice to improve scores.
- Work with patient relations and physicians to resolve patient complaint vis Safetyzone
- Partner with local HR and Service Corp HR to ensure timely submission of HR deliverables including any mandatory trainings.
- Provide cross coverage as needed.
- Complete special projects as requested by Practice Operations Manager, Director of Practice Operations, and Department Chair
- Conforms to all applicable HIPAA, Billing compliance and safety guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus 4 years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Four years of experience in health care
- Surgical scheduling experience

- Effective interpersonal and communication abilities.
