Job Location: Remote, Candidate will be required to go onsite in Cleveland for the first or second week of employment only.

Candidate will be required to go onsite in Cleveland for the first or second week of employment only.

In this role, you will:



  • Migrate data from an on-premises Oracle database to an AWS RDS Oracle database and an AWS RDS Postgres database.
  • Upskill our existing team on AWS RDS, DynamoDB, Data Migration Service, and CDK through demonstrated subject matter expertise.
  • Create and deploy application infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (CDK) and automated CI/CD pipelines (GitLab)
  • Collaborate effectively with a cross functional team including other developers, DevOps engineers, Quality Assurance, and Site Reliability.
  • Provide transparency into the progress of work through active participation in team stand ups, code reviews, and ensuring user stories are up to date.
  • Migrate data from an on-premises Oracle database to an AWS RDS Oracle database and AWS RDS Postgres database.
  • Upskill our existing team on AWS RDS, DynamoDB, Data Migration Service, and CDK through demonstrated subject matter expertise.
  • Create and deploy application infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (CDK) and automated CI/CD pipelines (GitLab)
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Application Architecture & Development, and Quality Assurance to design and implement solutions.
  • Create documentation aligned to the responsibilities above.



Who You Are:



  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of professional work experience or
  • Two years of college or database development bootcamp certificate and 7+ years of professional work experience
  • Expert level knowledge of data migration practices from on-premises to cloud.
    Deep understanding of AWS with an emphasis on data services such as RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, and Data Migration Service
  • Strong Oracle and PostgreSQL development skills: solid SQL and PL/SQL coding techniques; ability to create and maintain tables, constraints, triggers, views, stored procedures and functions, packages, and types; solid understanding of SQL tuning practices and indexing and partitioning strategies.
  • Experience as an application or operational DBA and/or knowledge of Oracle and PostgreSQL database architecture.
