This position is only for graduates of the 2024/2025 TIPS program at Stratton. For all other applicants please apply via the Instructor position

POSITION SUMMARY

This position will be instructing or assisting with the instruction of beginning, intermediate, and advanced lessons. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and outgoing with a strong passion for snow sports instruction and snow sports culture.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Teach or apprentice skiing or snowboarding from beginner to expert within daily lesson, seasonal non comp or seasonal comp programs
  • Provide a safe learning environment for students
  • Attend clinics for instructors
  • Ability to teach a variety of lessons
  • Assist in preparation of lesson areas
  • Learn the lift procedures
  • Being outdoors in winter conditions for 6 plus hours daily
  • Assist with the registration process and checkout; Assist with lunchtime duties


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Experience: Successfully completing the TIPS or CAP program.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 14 years of age
  • Skiing/Snowboarding skills
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position requires working weekends and holidays.
