Security Support Services II

This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance.

The Security Support Services II position is essential for conducting security control assessments and providing advanced support in policy development and documentation. This mid-level role requires expertise in technical writing, copyediting, and the use of collaboration tools to enhance workflow and foster effective communication across the organization.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Security Support Services II: $90,000 to $120,000

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Security Support Services II Responsibilities Include:



  • Conduct security control assessments for assigned systems, ensuring compliance with established security standards and regulations.
  • Review and edit security-related policies and documents, offering constructive feedback to policy writers to improve clarity and adherence to guidelines.
  • Produce clear and concise technical documentation in accordance with commonly accepted writing style manuals.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with policy formatting styles used by various agencies to ensure consistency and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Utilize collaboration tools effectively to streamline workflows, enhance communication, and promote project synergy across teams.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned



Security Support Services II Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:



  • Four (4) to seven (7) years in security support services or a related field
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience in security control assessments and compliance requirements
  • Strong copyediting and technical writing skills with expertise in recognized style manuals
  • Proficient in collaboration tools that improve team effectiveness and project management
  • Knowledge of policy formatting standards commonly used by government agencies
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
