We are seeking a dynamic and purposeful Associate Director of Business Development, Biomarker Solutions, with a strong background in nuclear medicine, biomarkers, and a proven track record in business development, lead identification, marketing, and deal-making. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, particularly in the areas of diagnostics and therapeutics, and will be responsible for driving growth and expanding our market presence related to our portfolio of PET imaging biomarkers. The candidate will seek to source strategic business relationships with pharmaceutical, life sciences, and biotech companies and prominent academic institutions by developing and executing marketing strategy.

The ideal candidate will have expertise with nuclear medicine imaging technology and with quantitative PET imaging biomarkers with a focus on neuroscience and oncology. Experience with deal sourcing and alliance management is required. Experience with data analytics is a plus but not required. The successful candidate will be highly driven and able to strategically identify new business opportunities, identify and source new leads, build new relationships, and advance them toward strategic business collaborations and revenue generation. Feedback or participation on other strategic projects will be required on an ad hoc basis.

The candidate will be expected to work with all Lantheus' capabilities and Line Functions to ensure full view of the necessary resources required to foster and drive new partnerships. The role will report to the Director, Business Development.

The position is fast-paced and highly collaborative, working with a dynamic network of internal and external stakeholders to achieve Biomarker Solutions revenue and strategic goals. Key internal partners include Legal, R&D, Medical Affairs, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, and the rest of the Corporate Development team. External partners include Pharma Partners (such as BD, translational, imaging, and clinical operations teams), academic thought leaders, PIs, start-up biotech companies and external consultants as needed.

Essential Functions:

• Plan, develop, and execute a marketing strategy and organize promotional material to increase market awareness
• Generate and qualify leads through networking, marketing outreach, industry events, and market research to build a robust pipeline of potential deals.
• Develop and execute strategic business development plans to identify and pursue new opportunities.
• Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders including research institutions and industry partners.
• Advise in partnership agreements, contracts, and collaborations that align with the company's strategic objectives.
• Develop contracts in collaboration with legal and functional groups
• Work closely with operations and pharma partnership team during contracting through execution
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Marketing, Legal, Operations and Regulatory Affairs, to ensure alignment in business strategies and product development.
• Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform business strategies and product positioning.
• Prepare and present business proposals, reports, and forecasts to senior management and stakeholders.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of business development initiatives, pipeline management, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Job Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related field; MBA preferred

Experience:

• Minimum of 7 + years of experience in business development including marketing, deal sourcing and lead generation, and deal-making, preferably in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology sectors.
• Broad knowledge of the field with proven management skills. Resolves critical issues and contributes to area development. Facilitates teamwork, and high performance within department. Applies knowledge to convince other stakeholders on desired departmental outcomes.
• Robust knowledge of nuclear medicine, PET biomarkers, and their applications in diagnostics and therapeutics
• Solid understanding of drug development process and limitations.
• Proven history of successfully sourcing deals and building strategic partnerships.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and people skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
