Job Description

Position Overview:

The Senior/Sustainability Analyst is responsible for supporting Amcor Rigid Plastic's global sustainability programs through developing/gathering/managing/maintaining sustainability-related data and records, database administration, project management of key sustainability-related activities, developing and delivering internal and external trainings, arranging and coordinating both internal and external meetings, and other functions as required.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and maintain monthly energy and environmental reporting database for global Amcor Rigid Packaging locations, assure timely and accurate data entry, and work with all manufacturing locations and personnel to accomplish this.
  • Coordinate sustainability targets and manage reporting to Amcor Limited including GHG data following the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
  • Support automation of sustainability data collection, process improvements, data assurance, and insights analysis.
  • Conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) and prepare data to be shared externally.
  • Coordinate ethical responsibility reporting program (SEDEX) with all Amcor Rigid Packaging manufacturing locations and support business group use of EcoVadis tool.
  • Coordinate Amcor Rigid Packaging's participation with community outreach programs including leading the Social Responsibility Grant program within Amor Rigid Packaging.
  • Represent Amcor Rigid Packaging within specified industry organizations and participate on working groups.
  • Lead internal sustainability engagement activities including the EnviroAction teams.
  • Co-facilitate greenhouse gas reduction efforts with suppliers.
  • Participate in and occasionally lead customer meetings related to greenhouse gas emissions, carbon reduction roadmaps and Amcor Rigid Packaging's sustainability goals. Respond to customer requests and surveys as needed.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and proposals; give internal and external training presentations; and maintain internal SharePoint page.
  • Oversee and support daily activities for sustainability support roles including interns and rotational personnel.
  • Plan, organize, and control large work volume in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in sustainability-related areas or environmental science
  • Minimum of two of experience required.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to graphically display operations information.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent working knowledge or Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software. SAP skills a plus.
  • Ability to maintain and deal with confidential information.
  • Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills desired.
  • Travel <10%
