This position acts as a Behavioral Health Technician to patients of the Inspiration for Men program, a 20-bed residential program for Men, who have severe substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Individual stays are based on patient needs and can be up to 90 days. Located on the Ft. Logan Campus, Inspiration for Men is a Medicaid funded program. Inspiration Men provides comprehensive treatment services, including but not limited to, individual and group counseling, medication assisted treatment, psychiatric assessment and mental health services, community reintegration, case management and coordination of aftercare services. This Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for the monitoring of patients within the facility. This position observes, monitors, intervenes in substance use disorder treatment through acting as a support staff to clinical staff, and records patient activity. They support, monitor, and document urine screens and administer and document patient medications per QMAP standards. This position performs routine inspections of residential premises both inside and out as well as conducts facility head counts, fire drills, property inventories, and room and patient bed checks. They will also, transport patients off site as needed. This position is located at the Ft. Logan Campus and will be scheduled during 12am-8 am shift, Sunday - Thursday (with Friday and Saturday off). Key Responsibilities:
- Observe, monitor, and intervene in drug/alcohol treatment through acting as a support staff to clinical staff.
- Assure patient compliance with program structure.
- Filing and auditing charts, uploading patient information into the electronic health record.
- Assist with cognitive/behavioral approaches and assignments and report any concerning behaviors.
- Support, monitor and document urine screens and document the monitoring of patient medications.
- Perform routine inspections of residential premises both inside and out as well as conduct facility head counts, fire drills, property inventories, and room and patient bed checks.
- Transport patients off site as needed, attend staff meetings and individual and/or group supervision, and training.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED).
- One (1) year of experience in the behavioral health field.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with a substance use disorder.
- Experience documenting behaviors according to established policies and procedures.
- Experience observing, monitoring and documenting urinalysis/breathalyzer testing.
- Experience in observing, monitoring and documenting medication usage.
- Experience using an Electronic Health Record.
- Experience in head counts/bed check.
- Experience filing and auditing clinical charts.
- Experience writing incident reports.
- Experience and knowledge of Federal Confidentiality laws concerning Drug and Alcohol treatment and HIPAA.
Conditions of Employment:
- Must agree to fingerprinting and criminal background check. Required background checks include a review with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) AND the Central Registry of Child Protection (Trails).

Anticipated Pay Range:
|
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $42,948 - $49,826. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
