Each Assistant, in addition to service students, has their own individual job responsibilities in the processing of student records. These responsibilities may include: document scanning and imagining, processing of applications, verification of eligibility, award processing, updating and reporting of student records, and student outreach. Each Assistant is cross-trained in one or more areas of responsibility to ensure consistent and timely processing.

You'll be a Great Fit if you have:
  • Knowledge of admissions and financial aid regulations and experience within a college environment.
  • Communications/Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Computer skills, experience with MS Office and database software
  • Ability to multi-task and must be detail-oriented
To be Considered You'll Need:
  • An Associate's degree required
  • Field of study preferred in business or accounting
  • Minimum of one year of, full-time equivalent, work experience working in a customer service or an office environment.

SkillSurvey Reference, a cloud-based, data-driven solution allows us to access relevant feedback from references provided by our candidates. The chosen references receive job-specific surveys on at least 26 critical behaviors and skills. These behavioral competencies have been scientifically studied and have been shown to correlate with work outcomes.

Stark State College utilizes E-Verify to ensure compliance with applicable employment eligibility laws. E-Verify is an electronic system used to confirm the employment eligibility of new hires.
