Job Overview:

Astound is currently seeking a Direct Mail Marketing Specialist. The Direct Mail Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing direct mail campaigns, communications, tracking expenses, and advertising events. This role will work closely with the omnichannel team and graphic designers to create direct mail materials that comply with industry regulations and maintain high-quality standards. The Direct Mail Marketing Specialist will assist in monitoring and evaluating performance campaigns to ensure campaigns are executed within budget constraints.

A Day in the Life of the Direct Mail Marketing Specialist:



  • Plan and execute direct mail campaigns, including audience segmentation market, segment, offer, transport, messaging, design, and distribution
  • Build out strategy in direct mail matrix that is shared with Data & Analytics partner, printers, and creative agencies
  • Work with Omnichannel team and graphic designers/creative agencies to create engaging and effective direct mail pieces
  • Analyze and manage mailing lists with external Data & Analytics partner to ensure accurate targeting and optimize response rates
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of campaigns, using metrics to refine strategies and improve future efforts
  • Assist in budget planning and ensure campaigns are executed within budget constraints, including coordinating cost estimates by format with printers, logging invoices, and communicating with AP on payment processing
  • Ensure all direct mail materials comply with industry regulations and maintain high-quality standards
  • Implement A/B, multivariate, demographic, format or other variations of testing for different campaign elements to identify best practices and optimize results
  • Other duties as assigned


What You Bring to the Table:



  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role supporting Marketing or Advertising campaigns
  • Prior graphic design experience is a plus
  • Prior experience with direct mail principles and best practices
  • Telecommunications experience is a plus
  • Proficient in the utilization of all the Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel) and Google databases (e.g, Google Sheets)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, and the capacity to communicate with tact and professionalism
  • Highly organized, self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and take initiative
  • Ability to analyze problems, develop a path toward problem solving, and continue the process to completion
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and metrics
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time


Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field

Base Salary: The base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $75,000, plus opportunities for bonus and benefits. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
